About: A collection anthology of shorts
from SA press oriented toward youth.
Review: SA press had a weird window of materials produced across the age range.
Its two most selling titles were oriented for adults. This work made specifically
for kids containing characters from those comics a bit of an odd idea. Adult writers
like Roz Gibson and Karno involved are not usually, something oriented for kids.
Newt Nutria is one the two repeating scripts. It was based off a Donald Duck
script the Disney did not use with Curtis typical Tongue and Cheek fun at
history, folklore, and adventure. Karno’s story was inspiring kids to make
comic characters, rather fun little bit with Fig that cat. However, in typical
Karno fashion gets rather dead pan and a little dark which I am not sure how
kids would react to it. Brock Hoagland’s Kyrri was really enjoyable. The only
other repeating story. The mage apprentice trying to learn with typical shenanigans
in a fun fantasy world with morale stories form the best thing in the work.
Heck, I’d read more stories in that setting with those characters. The type of
Pugboo Goodness the world needs more of. Plus fun treats recipe on the back by the Carspeckens
Overall, unless you’re trying to complete your SA press collection, probably skipable.
