Comic Book Review: Felcia: The sorceress Apprentice

Image
Comic Book:  Felicia: The sorceress Apprentice Author: Chuck Melville Pages: 143 Hard Core Scale: 4/4 Normal Scale: 10/10 Publish Date: 2012 About: The young dog girl, Sandy, is on the run and comes into the apprenticeship of the Fox sorceress Felicia who already has one. Is this out of the kindness out of Felicia’s own heart or more selfish desires? Review: Again, very well written. Only one brief info dump as common to Chuck’s webcomics. Art fluctuates and backgrounds sometimes become grained out. On pure story stand point though, a nice Felecia adventure. Happens before  Felicia: Melari’s Wish . Not sure if Indy planet is print on demand. If it is; go order a copy.                                                               Cover: 2012 by Chuck.

Book Review: The Vixen Sorceress

Book: The Vixen Sorceress Author: Chuck Melville Pages: 287 Hard Core Scale: 4/4 Normal Scale: 10/10 Publish Date:2008 (2004) About: The adventures of the Vixen Sorceress  Felecia of the world of Katarra. A powerful Magi who skirts the rules of the magi council for her own gain, but cannot stop helping people. Review: This thing was beautiful. So fun. The characters and plots so well written. The humor the perfect adventuress and punny fun. Nothing is wasted. This earned every reward it received. The layers well-constructed. A book that cannot be put done. Plenty of great Chuck illustrations too therein. Each tale is independent besides the final two. The final though comes after the comic Felicia: Melari’s Wish chronology wise, but can still be read and understood. Just wish this book was more accessible.                                        ...

Comic Book Review Hexware

Comic Book: Hexware Author: Tim Sealey Issues 6 Hard Core Scale: 2/4 Normal Scale: 7/10 Publish Date: 2022 About:   In the far future a woman dies and a robot follows its programing sells its soul for her to come back to life… but at what price. Review: Good ideas, but bloated in its short run. As if it had a bigger story to tell and no time to tell it. The religious under tones in a weird place. Political ideology explodes as if they wanted no stone unturned. The art waxes between top notch and wasted space and overly messy to not tell what is going on. Combat scenes are usually too messy to tell what is going on. This thing cannot decide what to be and the conclusion runs far to quick for a sense of actual peace. The young Mexican boy the true heart and soul of the work. Everything else is too muddled in reflection to audience. Are we evil? Are we worth saving? Who are we ultimately? Where is the heaven in all things? This could have been something far far more m...
